What a great season! Biathlon Alaska kids qualified for all the national and international biathlon and ski teams available to Alaskan U18 athletes.
John lead the pack by posting great finishes on the US Winter Youth Olympic Biathlon team as well as the US World Championship biathlon team. He rounded up a great race season with strong finishes on the Alaskan team at US Junior National Cross-country Ski Championships in March.
Talia and Cade joined John at JN's where Talia scored her own great finishes after shooting a 90 percent sprint and recording some fast laps in the final race at the US World Youth/Junior Championships Trials in December.
Eli posted strong finishes, along with John, in the early season Califorex Cup biathlon races we travelled to in November and qualified for the Team Alaska cross country team at Arctic Winter Games where he earned numerous podium appearances.
Drake and Fiora rounded out an amazing season for Biathlon Alaska with their podium earning performances on the Team Alaska AWG Snow Shoe Biathlon teams.
That rounds up our great winter and I'm happy to add that it features every kid we have in our U18 program. It's a great year when everybody on the team makes a traveling squad. Great Job kids!
